Responsibilities
We’re looking for a DevOps engineer responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, be familiar with several programming languages, and work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions. An Engineer with demonstrable hands-on and development experience in cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Role:
* Building and implementing new development tools, software, and infrastructure.
* Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results.
* Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.
* Working with software developers and engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
* Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions.
Responsibilities:
* Works closely with Development and QA teams to ensure the technology and processes will be functional and meet performance targets.
* Understands and maps user and business requirements to an appropriate technical solution.
* Maintain concise and clear documentation on the projects as dictated by the project, and the team’s guidelines and best practices.
* Build tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience.
* Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
* Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.
* Develop scripts to automate visualization.
* Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Designs and implements system architectures for applications to meet business requirements
* Deploy and maintain the infrastructure that supports these architectures.
Required skills and qualifications:
* 3 +years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
* Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows.
* Good knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and Bash.
* Experience with Linux systems administration.
* Working knowledge of databases (both SQL and NoSQL).
* Cloud Engineering (cloud computing) experience with AWS.
* Experience with data storage patterns and practices, namely relational and/or non-
relational (NoSQL) platforms.
* Experience with Agile processes, testing, and code review.
* Problem-solving attitude.
* Collaborative team spirit.
* Good communication skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
* Experience in developing/engineering applications for global companies.
* Experience with Linux systems administration.
* Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, and APMs such as New Relic and Grafana.
* English level of B2 or higher in the reading and writing test.
* IaC framework/tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, etc.).
* Experience/knowledge in building CI/CD pipelines.
