Requirements and responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer, working from our Medellin Office or Remotely. This role requires 4 to 6 years of experience in DevOps, with a concentration in AWS as it is our main PaaS. You will be working on multiple exciting projects. When building world-class solutions for our clients, we prefer working with microservice architectures, hosted on AWS, and doing our CI with Jenkins and Bitrise. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set up AWS accounts for new projects - Maintain existing project environments (development and production) - Setup Jenkins and Bitrise for CI/CD - Work with developers, design, product, and business teams to design and deploy the architecture for projects - Document stack of services used for projects - Write automation code to deploy, monitor, and alert to support your applications QUALIFICATIONS: - Strong CS fundamentals with 2+ years in professional software engineering experience - Strong experience working in AWS - Demonstrated usage of continuous integration processes and monitoring - Experienced in CI/CD methodologies - Willingness to learn and try new technologies Desired Characteristics: - Experience with cloud service providers (Google Cloud, Firebase) - Experience with JavaScript - BA/BS in computer science or a similar major - Self-Starter able to ramp up quickly, working independently and efficiently - Curiosity for new approaches and alternative thinking - Ability to quickly adapt in ambiguous and changing environments while making an immediate impact - Results-oriented team player who can function in teams of different sizes
