Job Title: Data Analyst. Location: Remote (PST Time Zone). Salary Range: 1500 to 1800 USD. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PST). Note: Independent contractor position. Position Overview: We are seeking a Data Analyst to support both daily operations and strategic initiatives by building and maintaining data models, dashboards, and automation tools. Reporting to the Solutions Architect — and working directly with the CEO, you'll be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights through Excel, Power BI, and lightweight automation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain advanced Excel models and operational reports. - Create and manage VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks and transform data. - Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI (or comparable BI tools). - Collaborate with teams to understand and deliver on reporting needs. - Document data workflows and technical solutions. - Identify and implement process automation opportunities. - Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications: - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc.). - Experience with VBA for automation. - Working knowledge of Power BI or comparable tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Qlik). - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. - Self-motivated, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset. Nice-to-Haves: - Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Make.com). - Exposure to low-code app development (e.g., Power Apps, AppSheet). - Basic proficiency in Python or SQL. - Background in process improvement or workflow optimization.
