AquSag Technologies is hiring a Game Developer (Java / libGDX) for an active remote project. What you will do: - Join our team as a Junior Game Developer focusing on Java and libGDX technologies for AI training initiatives. - This is an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance interactive game modules while collaborating with AI experts to create impactful data-driven solutions. - Grow your skills in a supportive environment where your passion for both gaming and code will drive innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and optimize simple 2D game features using Java and libGDX frameworks. - Collaborate closely with AI specialists to design engaging game interactions and collect high-quality training data. - Implement basic game mechanics including sprite management, game loops, and input handling. - Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure optimal performance and reliability of game modules. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of internal coding standards. - Document technical processes and game development workflows clearly for cross-functional teams. - Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular status updates and seeking feedback. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented principles. - Hands-on experience with libGDX through coursework, personal projects, or prototypes. - Understanding of fundamental game development concepts such as game loops, sprites, and input management. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear technical documentation. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fully remote team environment. - Demonstrated interest and initiative in building games or interactive applications. - Willingness to complete an AI interview as part of the selection process. Preferred Qualifications: - Portfolio of small games or demo projects (GitHub links or playable demos encouraged). - Familiarity with vectors, collision detection, or basic 2D physics. - Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development. Pay: - $20 to $120 per hour, paid every two weeks directly to you. Location: - Fully remote, work from anywhere. Hours: - No fixed shifts. - Minimum 20 hours per week. - Work early morning, late night, weekends, whatever suits you. Duration: - Approximately 3 months, extendable based on performance. Additional Information: - You can keep your current job and do this alongside it. - The process moves fast. - Onboarding is first come, first served.
