We are looking for a highly analytical, passionate, and ambitious Digital Distribution Manager with a solid performance track record in either B2C online-travel industries, consulting firms, or market launcher marketing agencies to join Travelodge Hotels Asia global expansion team in Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for driving Travelodge healthy growth of online retail sales and promotion strategy in various digital proprietary and non-proprietary channels. You will be part of the central team who build Travelodge online brand awareness and online retail revenue among core Japanese travelers. You will be given an opportunity to lead and build an ideal digital distribution channel mix for Japan consumer market. Reporting to headquarter in Singapore, you will work with both domestic Japan team and global team from South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. This position will be working on a remote setup.Ideal candidates are expected to be equipped with impeccable sense of ownership, humility to learn, and solid attention to detail. Candidate must have deep understanding about Japan retail market especially on how Japanese travelers book their travel needs. If you are passionate about travel and digital technology, and looking for a steep learning curve to grow APAC markets, you will love this rare and rewarding career opportunity.RESPONSIBILITIES:Market Launcher and Strategic RoleResponsible in building Travelodge Japan Go-To-Market and Route-To-Market strategy based on company strategic direction on yearly basis.Responsible in ensuring effective Travelodge hotels digital distribution from brand website (direct channel) and key local and/or global B2C partners.Accountable in leading negotiation and joint-business planning with strategic B2C distribution partners in Japan to increase Travelodge hotels trials among Japanese travelers.Lead, develop, and unlock new digital distribution partners with sizable demand and relevant travel corridors to Travelodge hotels in Japan.Market Insight and KnowledgeCreate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of performance and local market insights based on both empirical and data-driven analytical reports to improve hotels penetration rate (MPI).Conduct competitor audit and in-depth analysis cross channel promotion, identify hotel competition and OTA market demand trends and opportunities.Takes on ad hoc projects to support CCO in online retail sales and distribution analysis.Operational Excellence RoleCreate, manage, audit, and improve hotel product content excellence across all digital B2C platforms in both Japanese languages.Improve cancellation rate, increase ADR, and drive Travelodge Cashback membership enrollment for all guests from OTA partners.Design, propose, and recommend pre-planned promotion across key digital platforms with clear objective of attaining incremental revenue and profitability for each channel.Execute, analyze, and create post-mortem for every promotion and investment made across digital channels, with ultimate goal of achieving targeted channel mix and profitability.Responsible in nurturing, managing, and achieving designated brand price parity level across all online distribution platforms for Travelodge hotels in Japan.Championing ro-error culture in operation and system setup, to hunt and implement continuous improvement to achieve OTA promotion excellence and zero rate leakage.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Psychology, Public Relations, Data Science, Mathematics, or a STEM related field from reputable universities.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reputable travel technology or OTA industries or consulting firms or marketing agencies.Proven track record or natural ability of help managing end-to-end project with solid KPI delivery, focus on delivering results.Attention to detail is a must, familiarity with number and data-driven hypothesis.Ability of multitasking and excellent project management skills.Love rapid experiment to continuously iterate white space opportunity.Resourceful and possess strong grit to make up for the capability gap.High integrity and entrepreneurial self-driven ambition to grow.Strong data analytical skills with critical thinking. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Tools especially Excel. Literacy in data scrumming and analysis tools such as SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar is a BIG plus.Excellent English and Japanese communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Graduated from STEM or related fields at reputable universities and high academic record.Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences in reputable OTA or travel technology companies as Marketing, Product, or Market Management roles.Attention to details and highly analytical with good cognitive skills for problem solving.Experience with complex project management, certified PMO is a BIG plus.Good English, native Japanese communication and Excel literacy is a-MUST.
