Role Summary As a Backend/Infrastructure Engineer, you will architect, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Python. You’ll work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to handle complex infrastructure challenges, ensuring reliability, scalability, and speed across data and transaction-heavy systems. The role combines backend craftsmanship with a builder’s mindset — ideal for engineers who’ve been early members or technical founders at startups. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience * 4–8 years in backend or full-stack engineering, preferably at high-growth startups. * Hands-on experience with both backend architecture and infrastructure scaling. * Past technical founder, early-stage startup engineer, or builder of production-grade backend systems. * Worked at or collaborated with VC-backed startups. Technical Skills * Deep knowledge of TypeScript and Python. * Strong understanding of infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, cloud services, and scaling strategies. * Experience with search, elastic systems, and data pipelines. * Proven record of architecting backend systems handling large-scale, mission-critical transactions. * Strong GitHub portfolio showcasing contributions or projects.
