About the roleSegal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2+ years of asbestos defense or toxic tort litigation experience to join our New York City office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented litigator to work on complex matters, gain hands-on courtroom experience, and grow within a dynamic, trial-focused firm recognized for excellence nationwide.What You’ll DoAs part of our New York Asbestos Defense team, you will manage a diverse caseload involving:Asbestos and toxic tort defenseProduct liability and premises exposure claimsResponsibilities include:Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motionsConducting and defending depositions of fact and expert witnessesManaging discovery and developing case strategyAttending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiationsCommunicating directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counselAssisting with trial preparation and participating in trial as neededThis position provides the opportunity to gain substantial hands-on experience and mentorship from experienced trial attorneys in a supportive, collaborative environment.What We’re Looking ForLicensed to practice law in New York (required)2+ years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort, or related litigationLicenses in Connecticut, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania are highly desirableExcellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsProven ability to handle motion practice, depositions, and client communications independentlyStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive, client-focused approachWhy Join Segal McCambridge?At Segal McCambridge, we combine the resources of a national firm with the mentorship and growth opportunities of a close-knit team.
