Our providers cannot generate revenue, accept referrals, or serve clients until credentialing and enrollment activities are completed accurately and on time.We are looking for someone who enjoys organizing information, solving administrative puzzles, following through on details, and bringing order to complex processes. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, persistence, and ownership.About the RoleThe Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist supports provider onboarding, credentialing, enrollment, roster management, and payer participation activities. You will work closely with recruiting, operations, and provider onboarding teams to ensure clinicians move efficiently from hiring to active participation with health plans.This position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently. Prior credentialing experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates with strong administrative, healthcare operations, provider enrollment, medical office, or payer relations experience who demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a desire to build expertise in credentialing.You will receive training on Open Mind Health’s credentialing processes, payer workflows, systems, and documentation standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSubmit and track provider enrollment applications with commercial and government payersMaintain and update CAQH profilesSupport Medicare enrollment and PECOS activitiesManage payer roster updates and demographic changesTrack provider licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice coverage, and other expirablesFollow up with payers regarding application status and outstanding requirementsMaintain credentialing trackers and documentationEnsure provider information remains accurate across systems and payer portalsSupport recredentialing, revalidation, and attestation activitiesVerify provider participation and directory visibility when requiredEscalate issues requiring additional review or interventionAssist with process improvement and documentation effortsWhat Success Looks LikeApplications submitted accurately and on timeCredentialing trackers maintained consistentlyNo preventable expirations or missed deadlinesStrong follow-through on outstanding payer requestsClear documentation of application status and next stepsTimely communication regarding barriers and delaysContinuous learning and increasing independence within the roleQualificationsPreferred:Credentialing, provider enrollment, healthcare operations, medical office administration, payer relations, revenue cycle, or related experienceExperience with CAQH, PECOS, or payer portalsExperience working with healthcare providers or healthcare organizationsRequired:Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to follow processes consistentlyStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsComfort working independently in a remote environmentReliable high-speed internet connectionDedicated and distraction-free workspaceFull availability during scheduled work hoursWho Will Thrive HereThis role is ideal for someone who:Enjoys bringing order to complex administrative processesTakes ownership of assigned workIs naturally persistent and follows throughLearns quickly and asks thoughtful questionsEnjoys building expertise over timeWants an opportunity to grow professionally within healthcare operationsCompensation & Benefits$17–$20/hour depending on experiencePTO and paid holidaysMedical, dental, and vision benefits401(k)$50/month technology stipendRemote work environmentOngoing training and professional development opportunities
