Requirements and responsibilities


We are looking for a CAD/CNC Engineer who is mechanically inclined and knows how to program and run CNCs, specifically CNC routers for wood applications. Our client manufactures retail displays domestically and internationally and ship these displays nationwide.We are looking for a highly intelligent engineer who can do everything. Currently, the CEO of the company is the head of engineering and is involved in all projects from an engineering perspective. With company growth, we are looking for someone who knows how things are built and wants to grow and be able to problem solve, engineer retail fixtures, program the CNC for wood cabinet type manufacturing, program metal machines (if possible), and be able to provide key process improvements following the LEAN manufacturing (5s or 3s) methodology. This person will be skilled in looking at builds domestically and internationally and see where processes and build can be improved.Responsibilities: Managing the engineering on multiple projects at one time including design, trouble shooting, partner communication, and supplier communication.Understanding of how things can be built for efficiency in material use, shipping such as pre- built or flat packed, and different methodologies for production to ensure quality, accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop innovative and manufacturable designs.Update and maintain CAD libraries and design documentation.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in CAD design and CNC programming, with a focus on precision manufacturing.Experience in engineering for retail fixtures, event builds, and custom fixtures, including the design phase to the manufacturing phase.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. GCode, vCarve, AutoCAD, or similar).Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and machining processes.Experience with CAM software (e.g. Fusion 360) is a plus.BenefitsWork remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)Vacation: 10 business days a yearHolidays: 5 National Holidays a yearCompany Holidays: 5 Company Holidays a year (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Zipdev Day)Parental LeaveHealth Care ReimbursementActive Lifestyle ReimbursementQuarterly Home Office ReimbursementPayroll Deduction Purchase PlansLongevity BonusContinuous Learning BonusAccess to Training and Professional Development PlatformsDid we mention it's REMOTE?!!One of our core values at Zipdev is "Be authentic." that's why we encourage you to answer the application form in your own words; we are interested in getting to know you, not a digital assistant.Wondering how our remote environment or our payment method work?
