Language: English (Advanced – Written and Spoken). About the Job: We are hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to work from our office in Tijuana, B.C., supporting U.S.-based healthcare clients. This position is ideal for candidates with prior experience in U.S. medical billing who are organized, detail-oriented, and fluent in English. Responsibilities: - Submit medical claims to U.S. insurance companies (CMS-1500 / UB-04). - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. - Post payments and reconcile patient accounts. - Handle claim rejections, denials, and appeals. - Communicate professionally with U.S. healthcare providers and insurance carriers. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and U.S. healthcare regulations. Requirements: - 1+ year experience in U.S. medical billing (required). - Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. - Experience with medical billing software (e.g. AdvancedMD, Athenahealth). - Advanced English proficiency (both written and verbal). - Familiarity with U.S. insurance types: Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
