As a Senior Engineer – SAP Basis Operations at Avantor, you will work independently under close supervision, participating in the research and analysis of system application needs and problem solving. You will provide assistance, advice, problem solving, and technical information to customers regarding the use of software applications. Your responsibilities will include providing global production support and monitoring of Avantor SAP environments, using tools such as Solution Manager and HANA Cockpit to manage technical aspects of Avantor’s SAP environments, and supporting major SAP projects, upgrades, system refreshes, and maintenance. You will also assist SAP developers, application teams, and other users in troubleshooting issues and engage with service providers on relevant change requests and incidents. The role requires a positive attitude, the ability to work independently and within teams, and flexibility with work hours to support system maintenance and other off-hour activities. Responsibilities: - Provide global production support and monitoring of Avantor SAP environments as part of a rotating 24x7 shift schedule - Use tools such as Solution Manager and HANA Cockpit to manage technical aspects of Avantor’s SAP environments with a focus on system availability and performance - Provide support for major SAP projects, upgrades, system refreshes, and maintenance - Assist SAP developers, application teams, and other users in troubleshooting issues - Engage with service provider on relevant change requests and supports incidents - Other duties as assigned
