About Us
Flexio International is a Puerto Rico-based healthcare logistics company specializing in pharmaceutical delivery across Puerto Rico, serving clients including Baxter International and leading health plans such as Triple-S, MMM, and CUD Salud.
Routina is our AI orchestration platform for patient-at-home care coordination, unifying RPM, scheduling, logistics, and clinical workflows into a single intelligent system. Together, Flexio and Routina are building the operational backbone of next-generation home-based care.
The Role
We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) — also known as an Infrastructure or Stability Engineer — to be the backbone of our technical operations. This is not a product engineering role. Your job is to make sure systems stay up, run fast, and recover quickly when things go wrong.
You'll own reliability, monitoring, and incident response across the Flexio invoicing and logistics platform and the Routina AI orchestration engine. You'll also play a critical role during the transition to a new system architecture — ensuring both the legacy and new systems are stable, observable, and performant throughout the migration.
What You'll Do
System Stability & Uptime
- Monitor all production systems and proactively identify issues before they impact users.
- Own on-call rotations and lead incident response — triage, resolve, post-mortem.
- Define and track SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
- Maintain runbooks, playbooks, and escalation procedures.
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or equivalent) including networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
- Manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes or ECS).
Observability
- Set up and maintain logging, metrics, and alerting (Datadog, Grafana, PagerDuty, or similar).
- Build dashboards that give the engineering and business teams real-time visibility.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements.
New System Migration Support
- Ensure parallel stability during transition from legacy to new system architecture.
- Coordinate zero-downtime deployments and rollback strategies.
- Validate that new system components meet reliability standards before cutover.
Tech Support & Developer Enablement
- Serve as the first line of escalation for critical infrastructure issues.
- Help developers debug environment-related issues and improve local dev experience.
- Document infrastructure decisions and maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 3–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
- Experience managing containerized environments (Docker + Kubernetes or ECS).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience with observability tools — logging, monitoring, alerting.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or equivalent).
- Solid scripting skills — Bash, Python, or similar.
- Proven track record of owning on-call and incident response.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a high-growth startup or logistics/healthtech company.
- Familiarity with healthcare data environments (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or event-driven architectures.
- Prior work at or with a company like Rappi, Uber, Cabify, Mercado Libre, or similar.
Soft Skills
- You communicate problems clearly and calmly under pressure.
- You're proactive — you fix things before they break, not just after.
- You thrive in ambiguity and can operate without heavy process.
- You care about the mission and understand the impact of downtime in healthcare logistics.
What We Offer
