Araways is hiring a Remote, Full-Time C2C Contractual Senior Kubernetes (Gardener) Engineer for a 6-12 months.Key Responsibilities:Platform Management: Oversee Gardener architecture, including shoot and seed cluster management and lifecycle operations.Deep-Dive Troubleshooting: Resolve complex incidents within the control plane, networking, and scheduling layers.Root Cause Analysis: Lead RCAs for provisioning, scaling, and upgrade failures to ensure long-term platform stability.Cross-Stack Integration: Provide technical support for the integration of Gardener with Gardenlinux and KVM-based infrastructure.Technical Requirements:Kubernetes Internals: Expert-level understanding of control plane components, scheduling, and networking.Gardener Expertise: Proven experience managing Gardener at scale, including cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.Observability Mastery: Strong proficiency with Prometheus and Perses for platform monitoring and debugging.Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with node-level troubleshooting and the underlying KVM/Linux layers.DeliverablesTechnical incident reports and formal RCAs for P1/P2 incidents.Configuration reviews and platform optimization recommendations.Comprehensive best-practices documentation and knowledge transfer sessions.Required Experience: 7+ years in Linux Systems Engineering & Kubernetes Orchestration.The Role: We are seeking a high-level specialist to manage and optimize our Gardener Kubernetes Platform. You will be responsible for the health of the Gardener control plane and shoot clusters, ensuring seamless integration between Gardener, Gardenlinux, and KVM-based nodes.
