Our client is looking for an experienced Corporate M&A Paralegal to support complex mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions in a fast-paced remote environment. This is an exciting opportunity for legal professionals with strong M&A, compliance, and data privacy expertise to work on high-impact corporate transactions while ensuring the secure handling of sensitive financial and legal information. Position: Corporate M&A Paralegal. Location: Remote. Job Type: Contract. Openings: 1. Compensation: $40–$70/hour. What You Will Be Doing: - Support attorneys and deal teams throughout all stages of M&A transactions. - Assist with due diligence, document preparation, closings, and post-closing activities. - Review, organize, and manage sensitive corporate and financial documentation. - Ensure strict compliance with PII regulations and data privacy requirements. - Oversee secure handling, transfer, and redaction of confidential information. - Draft, file, and maintain compliance documentation and regulatory submissions. - Conduct compliance checks, identify risks, and improve data privacy processes. - Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate transaction updates and requirements. - Maintain transaction records, checklists, and milestone tracking to ensure operational efficiency. What We Are Looking For: - Minimum 2 years of experience with PII compliance in corporate or M&A legal environments. - Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions processes and terminology. - Experience managing sensitive legal and financial documentation. - Deep knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. - Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely. Preferred Qualifications: - Corporate or finance industry paralegal experience. - Understanding of how PII can be embedded in operational processes and workflows. - Experience supporting large-scale or multi-jurisdictional transactions.
