We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to define and implement enterprise-grade data architecture on Databricks, supporting ingestion, replication, retention, and semantic modeling strategies. This role will partner with engineering teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing data solutions.Role Highlights:Define target Databricks architecture and replication framework from EDW/ODSDesign ingestion patterns for daily feeds (POS XML, Manager Card, Workday, ODS dimension files)Implement schema evolution, XML parsing strategies, and retention models (12-month rolling window)Architect Cold/Warm storage strategies using Delta Lake or equivalentSpecify semantic layer approach (DataMart vs Power BI data model) with canonical dimensionsDesign frameworks for data quality, reconciliation, metadata/catalog integration, and lineageProvide non-functional requirements and performance tuning for Spark jobs & BI refreshesCreate operational runbooks, playbooks, and handover documentationReview/approve CI/CD pipelines for ETL/Notebooks and infra provisioningCoach Data Engineering team on best practices and enterprise standards
