- We're building an ambitious language learning product for web and mobile combining top-tier UX, spaced repetition, and smart AI tooling.
- We're a small, fast-moving team looking for a frontend-focused engineer to develop clean, responsive interfaces in React and React Native, working closely with product and tech leads.
🧠 We're Looking For:
You:
- Build beautiful, performant UIs in React, React Native, and Next.js.
- Can ship production-ready code to web and mobile (via Vercel, Expo, etc.).
- Know how to wire up a basic backend API (even if not your specialty).
- Write your own tests and validate your code works across platforms.
- Communicate clearly in English, async-first, low-ego.
- Work autonomously and unblock yourself with minimal supervision.
- Have an AI-native mindset: you're not just using tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT.
⚡ Bonus:
- Built or contributed to AI-assisted features or dev workflows.
- Use Zapier, Make, or scripting to automate repetitive work.
- Have experience with language learning, education, or content-focused products.
- Are a language learner or passionate about the space.
- Have a strong UX/UI perspective, you've worked with designers or have a sharp eye for interaction quality.
🧪 Example Tasks:
- Build mobile and web views for education modules and progress tracking.
- Write component and integration tests for those views.
- Integrate learner feedback into faster UI/UX improvements.
- Prototype experimental flows using AI tooling.
- Collaborate with the backend engineer to connect REST or GraphQL endpoints.
📝 Contract & Compensation:
- This is a contract role, targeting ~20 hours per week.
- Fully remote, with flexibility around working hours.
- Preference for candidates in Central or South America (timezone alignment).
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience, please include your hourly rate when applying.
