Requirements and responsibilities

California Technical Experts is hiring two seasoned Route/Switch Engineers to drive Layer 2 and Layer 3 segmentation efforts on a CMMC Enclave Deployment Program running through September. This role spans the full lifecycle — plan, design, and implement.About the RoleYou'll deliver scalable, secure network segmentation aligned with approved architectures, working in close coordination with our ISE, Wireless, and Security teams to enable identity-based access enforcement.What You'll DoImplement L2/L3 segmentation supporting the CMMC enclaveDeploy VLAN and IP addressing configurations per approved LLDsCoordinate dependencies for identity-based access enforcementWork alongside the ISE team to enable 802.1X-based segmentationConduct functional validation against approved designsSupport migration activities and resolve deployment issuesWhat We're Looking For8+ years of hands-on routing and switching experienceStrong expertise with Cisco Catalyst 9000, Nexus, and IOS-XEDeep knowledge of VLANs, VRFs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRPVXLAN/EVPN and campus fabric experience is a plusFamiliarity with CMMC, FIPS, and federal complianceCCNP Enterprise required; CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preferred
