Requirements and responsibilities


At Kiwibot we are building the largest robotic last-mile delivery network to support operations in several environments from college campuses to cities across the US and Europe. We believe that the future will be powered by clean and effective technological solutions and that everyone should have the access to receive anything at a low or no cost. For this role, you should have the right technical curiosity and understanding to develop new approaches to big problems. Your work will require creativity, innovation, teamwork, and leadership. You will be working directly with our robots! As an electronic engineer, a typical day might include the following: ⚡ Constant debugging and maintenance of the robot fleet for development. ⚡ Testing robots upgrades, either in hardware or firmware. ⚡ Reporting test results to the teams involved. ⚡ Bug hunting: look for hw/sw issues and study solutions. ⚡ Hand-in-hand work with maintenance team to execute fleet-wide hardware patches. ⚡ Designing and developing electronic diagnostic tool. ⚡ Keeping constant communication with maintenance and AI teams. ⚡ Formulating improvements in the manufacturing processes. ⚡ Having space for learning new AI-related, hardware-related and soft skills. This job might be the right one for you if you: ⚡ Have an active US visa. ⚡ Are legally eligible to work in Colombia. ⚡ Have an ability to understand and peer-review schematics and PCB layout designs. ⚡ Have electronics design experience using different software tools. ⚡ Have debugging experience solving hardware and firmware issues. ⚡ Have used hardware and firmware Version Control Systems. ⚡ Have intermediate firmware programming ability. ⚡ Have hand soldering and PCB rework experience. ⚡ Have electronic testing skills. ⚡ Have an understanding and proper use of EE test equipment.(Oscilloscopes, meters, data-loggers, power supplies, etc.) ⚡ Have Strong documentation and communication skills. Other information: ⚡ Use of Altium Designer is a plus. ⚡ Experience in components sourcing and talking to global suppliers is a plus. ⚡ Experience with ARM Cortex M is a plus. You might also have: ⚡ Knowledge of electronics, electric engineering, or other similar technical fields. ⚡ Experience starting or scaling a successful startup. ⚡ Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
