Position Overview
The role will act strategically and technically in coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring the consistency of information, meeting deadlines, and compliance with IFRS/CPC standards.
Responsibilities
* Review the quality of balance sheets, financial statements, and explanatory notes, as well as oversee the consolidation process, intercompany eliminations, corporate controls, and equity method calculations.
* Supervise the calculation of direct and indirect taxes (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ISS, among others), monitor ancillary obligations, and ensure consistency between accounting, tax, and financial information, while providing technical and documentary support for audits and tax reviews.
* Manage relationships with external auditors (Big4), coordinating schedules, requests, and deliverables; preparing and reviewing working papers, technical memoranda, and accounting policies; and handling responses to technical inquiries, audit adjustments, and recommendations to management.
* Validate revenue, leases, provisions, contingencies, investments, and business combinations, while monitoring regulatory changes, assessing impacts, and supporting their implementation.
* Evaluate and propose changes to internal controls, review and improve processes, standardize and automate closings and reporting, working collaboratively with finance, tax, controllership, and legal teams.
* Coordinate the accounting team, promoting engagement, accountability, and results-oriented focus.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
* Active CRC certification.
* Solid experience in coordinating accounting and tax routines.
* Knowledge of IFRS 16 standards.
* Experience in Big4-audited companies, with strong involvement in external audits.
* Experience in balance sheet consolidation and equity method accounting.
* Previous Big4 experience or frequent interaction with such audits is a plus.
* Knowledge of ERP systems and ancillary obligations.
