We're looking for a Platform Lead / Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join CoachCare and take technical ownership of our core Ruby on Rails platform. This role is crucial for maintaining, improving, and evolving our infrastructure as the company expands its healthcare technology offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and maintenance of integrations (EHRs, APIs, device connections).
• Manage and contribute to the Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Support and mentor internal developers during the platform transition.
• Guide release management and deployment processes.
• Provide QA support and contribute to automated testing.
• Assist with AWS and PostgreSQL management.
• Respond to production issues and after-hours emergencies if needed.
• Participate in technical recovery planning and continuity practices.
Requirements:
✓ Expert in Ruby on Rails and API development
✓ Strong experience with PostgreSQL and stored procedures
✓ Familiar with frontend frameworks (React preferred, Angular acceptable)
✓ Comfortable with Git (GitLab), CI/CD workflows
✓ Experience working with AWS and cloud-based deployments
✓ Able to troubleshoot complex production issues
✓ Knowledge of HIPAA and experience handling ePHI is a big plus
✓ Prior experience in lead or mentoring roles
