Credit Investment Analyst – Remote. Our client is looking for a highly skilled Credit Investment Analyst to contribute deep expertise in leveraged finance, private credit, underwriting, and structured credit markets to next-generation AI initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for finance professionals with strong analytical and modeling backgrounds to work on sophisticated credit investment scenarios while helping shape advanced AI systems for financial analysis and decision-making. Position: Credit Investment Analyst. Location: Remote. Job Type: Contractor. Openings: 1. Compensation: $100–$200/hour. What You’ll Be Doing: - Analyze a wide range of credit instruments including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, CLOs, and structured credit products. - Conduct underwriting and due diligence reviews focused on capital structures, liquidity profiles, and covenant analysis. - Build and refine advanced financial models including 3-statement, LBO, downside, and stress-case models. - Assess default risk, recovery scenarios, refinancing risk, sponsor quality, and industry cyclicality. - Evaluate spreads, yields, relative value opportunities, and risk-adjusted returns across public and private credit markets. - Review legal and credit documentation with a focus on covenant protections and debt structures. - Deliver clear, data-driven investment insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams. - Monitor market trends, emerging risks, and portfolio performance dynamics. What We’re Looking For: - 2–6 years of experience in credit investing, leveraged finance, underwriting, private credit, or related fields. - Strong expertise in analyzing cash flow statements, debt structures, covenants, and liquidity profiles. - Advanced financial modeling skills including LBO, downside, and stress-case modeling. - Deep understanding of default risk, recovery analysis, refinancing risk, and sponsor evaluation. - Ability to assess relative value, spreads, yields, and portfolio construction strategies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: - Background in investment banking (LevFin, FIG, M&A), private credit, restructuring advisory, rating agencies, or credit hedge funds. - Direct underwriting and investment recommendation experience. - Commercial banking professionals with advanced credit structuring and modeling expertise are encouraged to apply.
