Requirements and responsibilities

Turn vision into interfaces people love to use. You’ll own the full web experience—from listening to a messy idea to shipping a clean, high-performing product page, funnel, or app screen that converts. You’ll work directly with a high-velocity founder. That means fast cycles, clear outcomes, and zero drama. You keep us honest with user-first decisions, measurables, and polished delivery. What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) * Ship 3–5 revenue-impact pages or flows (homepage refresh, candidate cards, filtering UX, or an interview-booking flow) with measurable lifts in conversion, speed, and clarity. * Systematize a Figma design system: tokens, components, patterns, states, and documentation the team can reuse. * Harden our accessibility, performance, and responsiveness standards (WCAG-aware, fast on mobile, clean on Safari/Chrome). * Tight loop with the founder: rapid prototypes → review → iterate → ship. No dead air, no vague handoffs. What You’ll Own * Discovery & Direction: Rapid audits, heuristic reviews, competitive teardowns, user stories, and success metrics. * UX Architecture: IA, flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes, empty/error/loading states. * UI Design: High-fidelity comps, component libraries, micro-interactions, and motion that guides—not distracts. * Web Delivery: Prepare assets for WordPress/Elementor and modern stacks; partner with dev to get it live exactly as designed. * Conversion & Content: Above-the-fold clarity, scannable hierarchy, friction-free forms, and smart microcopy (headlines, CTAs, helper text). * Quality & Performance: Accessibility basics, SEO-friendly structure, mobile-first layouts, fast loads, clean handoff. * Measure & Learn: Set up simple tests, watch behavior, and iterate based on data—without waiting for a committee. Must-Haves * 5–8+ years designing and shipping production web experiences with real business impact. * Portfolio with A→Z ownership: show the problem, your process, the shipped result, and the outcome. * Expert in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, tokens); fluent in responsive systems and design ops. * Strong grasp of conversion principles (clarity, objections, anxiety reducers, social proof, progressive disclosure). * Practical knowledge of WordPress/Elementor execution and constraints; bonus for React/Tailwind/Framer Motion literacy. * Writes clear, concise interface copy; can simplify complex ideas without dumbing them down. * Works fast and finishes. Organized files. Thoughtful naming. Clean exports. Reliable versioning. * Comfort collaborating with a founder who thinks out loud and changes gears quickly—you translate that energy into shippable work. Nice-to-Haves * Web performance chops (Core Web Vitals awareness). * Familiarity with Webflow, Supabase-driven apps, or analytics tools (GA4/Hotjar). * Accessibility testing habits; light motion/interaction design. * Experience designing candidate marketplaces, search/filters, or booking flows. How We Work Together * Short briefs. Quick prototypes. Fast decisions. * Async first, crisp updates, and “show, not tell” artifacts. * You’ll bring options (MVP, Plus, Premium) with trade-offs and a recommendation—then own the outcome. * You will not wait for perfect requirements; you’ll help create them.
