Position Overview: The Commercial Property Accountant will own commercial lease accounting and CAM reconciliations for commercial properties. This role requires a senior-level accountant who can manage full-cycle accounting, oversee tenant billings and recoveries, and ensure accurate month-end close and reporting while working closely with internal stakeholders. This role is best suited for a Senior Property Accountant with hands-on commercial experience. Key Responsibilities: Own commercial lease accounting and CAM reconciliations, including recoverable expense analysis, tenant billings, and true-ups. Manage full-cycle accounting for commercial properties and related legal entities. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee tenant billings and resolve CAM-related discrepancies. Support annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting. Manage AP and AR processes related to assigned properties. Handle onboarding of new properties into accounting systems. Assist with 1099 preparation and compliance. Maintain accurate records in Yardi Voyager or a comparable property management system Collaborate with internal teams including operations and asset management. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in commercial property accounting. Hands-on experience with commercial lease accounting and CAM reconciliations (required). Prior experience as a Senior Property Accountant or in a similar commercial accounting role. Strong understanding of commercial lease structures (NNN, gross, modified gross). Proficiency with Yardi Voyager (preferred) or similar property management systems. Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a remote, PST-aligned environment. Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to property-level budgeting and forecasting. Experience supporting asset management or ownership teams. Background in improving or scaling accounting processes.
