Responsibilities

SaaS Sales Representative (Remote, Philippines-based) Skytree Scientific | SaaS closing role | Full-time, remote Skytree Scientific® builds lightning risk intelligence software. Our platform, LRAplus®, runs quantitative lightning risk assessment to IEC 62305-2:2024 Edition 3 for engineers and asset owners worldwide. Our customers are engineering consultancies across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. We are hiring a SaaS Sales Representative to convert qualified pipeline into signed deals. This is a closing role. You will not be cold sourcing or building lists. Leads arrive qualified. Your job is to run the discovery call, give the demo, work the objections and get the contract signed. The motion is high-volume and fast: transactional to mid-size deals, not six-month enterprise pursuits. Our team works across multiple time zones, so we need someone who takes ownership of the role and moves the product forward on their own initiative. Beyond the hard skills, we want to work with people who are kind, reliable and trustworthy, and eager to grow in a startup environment. Responsibilities: 1. Run discovery and demo calls with qualified prospects. 2. Handle objections on price, timing and authority, and move deals to close. 3. Navigate the buying group: prep your champion, identify the economic buyer, and build consensus across the decision team. 4. Keep CRM current: log activity, update deal stages, maintain clean pipeline data. 5. Coordinate with our account and technical teams so what you commit to on a call is what we can deliver. 6. Keep objection-handling notes and feed recurring questions back to the team. Requirements: 1. SaaS or software sales experience. This one is not negotiable. Selling software is a different motion from selling hardware and we need someone who already knows it. 2. Demonstrated B2B closing experience against a documented sales process. Be ready to share your quota attainment and win rate, walk us through specific deals, and explain your sales methodology. 3. College degree preferred, and/or an equivalent closing track record. 4. Based in the Philippines, with a reliable primary internet connection and a working backup. 5. Your own work laptop or computer. 6. Willingness to work flexible hours against customer time zones in Europe, MENA or Asia-Pacific (APAC). 7. Strong spoken and written English for international customer-facing calls. 8. CRM fluency, HubSpot preferred, with disciplined pipeline hygiene. 9. A warm, credible, coachable presence. Attitude and fit count as much as skill here. Preferences: 1. Minimum two years of enterprise software experience. 2. Familiarity with lightning risk or weather risk. 3. Ability to hold a credible conversation with a technical buyer without an engineering background. 4. Experience selling into a technical space, such as utilities or infrastructure. 5. Experience selling software that quantifies or measures risk in another industry. Engagement and pay: Pay is competitive, structured as a base plus commission. Specific figures are discussed at interview. This is a full-time contractor role from the start, with a 90-day probationary period. On passing the 90-day review, the base steps up and the commission strengthens, with an accelerator above quota. Qualified leads keep arriving from our account team; alongside closing them you take on CRM hygiene and pipeline management. Base and scope are reviewed annually from that point. The 90-day review looks at deals closed against target, conversion on qualified opportunities, CRM discipline, product fluency and how well you work with the rest of the team. Shortlisted candidates move to a first-round interview, with final interviews held with the leadership team.
