Requirements and responsibilities


Responsibilities: ● Manage cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, permissions) across cloud platforms according to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. ● Manage Kubernetes clusters and configure resources (deployments, statefulsets, secrets, etc.) with Helm and FluxCD/ArgoCD. Simplify complexities and consolidate dangling concerns. ● Right-size the resource allocations according to observed usage, and optimize cloud spending according to price/performance information. Work with application owners to advise and architect systems for efficient/balanced resource consumption. ● Manage observability solutions (logs, metrics, traces, alarms) and provide incident response. ● Manage CI/CD solutions, runners, registries. ● Perform distributed database backup and restore procedures. ● Cut permission boundaries to facilitate self-management for application owners. Requirements: ● Great technical foundations: operating systems, in particular Linux ● Expertise at at least one working programming language suited for the infra & cloud, e.g. Python, Go for automating tasks, and communicating with application owners ● Strong experience with cloud networking, tunneling technologies, service meshes ● Strong experience with distributed database backup and restore operations. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems ● Experience with Kubernetes in scalable production environments, including cluster management using Helm and FluxCD/ArgoCD, networking, and security, strong experience with Infrastructure as Code. ● Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and building monitoring frameworks ● Proficiency with CI/CD systems (GitLab/GitHub) ● 4+ years of experience managing or contributing to production infrastructure at scale ● Experience working in cross-functional teams with strong communication skills ● Visa sponsorship not available and this position required US citizenship Benefits: ● Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD and LTD Plans ● FSA - Medical and Dependent Care ● EAP and wellness programs ● Productivity stipends ● 13 Paid Holidays ● Unlimited PTO ● Flexible work environment - 100% remote ● Bi-annual company/team meetups ● 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions
