Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET with experience in Manual Quality Assurance, Cypress, and Automated API Testing to join our software development team. The candidate will design test cases and implement automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products, with a focus on UI and functional testing. The role requires a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with test automation frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers and QA teams. Essential job functions/requirements: * Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for UI testing and automated test scripts using API testing frameworks for API testing. * Create and maintain test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications for UI and API testing. * Optimize testing processes and reduce reliance on manual effort. * Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure test coverage and completeness for UI and API testing. * Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards for UI and API testing. * Analyze and report test results for UI and API testing, and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. * Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies for UI and API testing. * Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and automation for UI and API testing. Job qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 3+ years of experience as an SDET, software engineer, or similar role. * Strong test design and test planning skills. * Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress for UI testing and automated API testing frameworks for API testing. * Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript. * Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices for UI and API testing. * Experience with Agile development methodologies. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred qualifications: * Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as ADO, Jenkins, or GitLab. * Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure. * Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks such as Appium. Specialized knowledge & skills: * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Professional demeanor. * Ability to work effectively in a team setting. * Ability to work efficiently across distributed teams. * Aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts. * Proficient time management abilities. * Problem-solving and project management abilities. * Positive and pleasant disposition.
