Fleet Maintenance Mechanic & Operations Coordinator Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Working Hours: PST Time Zone Location: LATAM (Mexico Preferred) Overview We're looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Mechanic & Operations Coordinator with a strong mechanical background in heavy-duty trucks to help keep a North American fleet operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for drivers, dispatch, repair vendors, and maintenance shops—coordinating repairs, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and minimizing vehicle downtime in a fast-paced transportation environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a heavy-duty trucking fleet. Monitor vehicle breakdowns and provide real-time support to drivers. Diagnose mechanical issues remotely and recommend appropriate repair solutions. Coordinate with repair shops, mechanics, and vendors to ensure timely repairs. Review fault codes and determine repair priorities based on operational needs. Manage maintenance records, repair documentation, and parts inventory. Coordinate parts ordering, warranty claims, and core returns. Partner with dispatch teams to minimize downtime and maintain fleet availability. Requirements 3+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, heavy-duty truck repair, or a similar role. Strong hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, truck systems, and maintenance procedures. Ability to diagnose mechanical issues remotely and support drivers with troubleshooting. Experience interpreting electrical diagrams and diagnosing truck fault codes. Knowledge of ABS systems, aftertreatment systems, transmissions, and electrical systems. Experience coordinating repairs with maintenance shops and vendors. Professional English communication skills. Availability to support urgent maintenance situations when required.
