Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Backend & API Integrations Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable integrations between internal platforms, client systems, and third-party services.
This is a highly hands-on role focused on backend development, APIs, webhooks, workflow automation, and data synchronization. You will work closely with the Senior Integrations PM to transform technical requirements and discovery findings into secure, reliable, and production-ready solutions.
We are looking for an AI-native professional who uses tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Integration Development:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations with internal and third-party platforms.
- Build and consume REST APIs, webhooks, backend services, and data synchronization processes.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, and JWT.
- Develop workflow automations using n8n or similar platforms.
- Build backend solutions using technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Airtable.
Architecture and Strategy:
- Translate technical discovery and business requirements into scalable integration architectures.
- Review API documentation and define the most appropriate integration strategy.
- Map, transform, normalize, and validate data across different systems.
Reliability and Security:
- Implement error handling, retries, logging, monitoring, alerts, and idempotency.
- Address API rate limits, security requirements, performance, and scalability.
- Create automated tests and validate integrations before production releases.
Documentation and Maintenance:
- Document architectures, endpoints, configurations, dependencies, and support procedures.
- Monitor integrations after launch and resolve technical incidents.
Collaboration and Standards:
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to reusable technical standards and components.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and code quality.
Required Dev Skills:
Strong backend development and systems integration experience.
Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
Solid experience with Node.js.
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
Experience with webhooks and third-party API integrations.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and secure credential management.
Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
Experience with Supabase and Airtable.
Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar automation tools.
Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, validation, and synchronization.
Experience implementing logging, monitoring, retries, error handling, and idempotency.
Proficiency with Git, code reviews, version control, and deployment workflows.
Ability to understand and implement solutions based on technical API documentation.
Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent.
Technical English proficiency.
