Our client is looking for a talented Software Engineer with strong ElectronJS expertise to help build high-performance desktop infrastructure powering a globally distributed workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a sophisticated cross-platform productivity application used daily by thousands of professionals, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and intelligent background systems. Role: Software Engineer (ElectronJS). Location: Remote. Job Type: Full-time. Compensation: $6–$7/hr. Openings: 1. What You’ll Work On: - Architect and scale cross-platform desktop applications using Electron.js. - Build real-time tracking and background execution systems. - Design offline-first data pipelines with reliable sync and conflict resolution. - Integrate backend APIs and distributed systems for analytics and reporting. - Optimize runtime performance, memory usage, and application stability. - Implement OS-level event and signal collection with strong privacy safeguards. - Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver impactful features. What We’re Looking For: - 3+ years of experience building production-grade Electron.js applications. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. - Experience developing cross-platform systems for MacOS and Windows. - Hands-on experience with event streams, activity tracking, or monitoring systems. - Familiarity with OS-level APIs and system interaction handling. - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. - Ability to reason through edge cases in distributed and offline-first systems. Preferred: - Experience with productivity or telemetry-driven applications. - Knowledge of native OS integrations, permissions, and background services. - Understanding of privacy and security considerations in activity tracking. - Familiarity with Electron auto-update systems and release management.
