In this role, you will manage purchase orders, oversee shipments and backorders, and ensure alignment with company goals for in-stock rates, inventory turns, and overall product availability. You’ll play a key role in allocating products to fulfillment centers, analyzing sales and inventory data, and executing strategies to optimize sell-through, turnover, and profitability. This position requires strong collaboration with domestic and international vendors—particularly China-based brands—so fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and skilled in building efficient inventory strategies that drive business growth while maintaining operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage purchase orders, oversee shipments and backorders, and ensure alignment with company metrics for in-stock rates, inventory turns, and overall availability.Allocate products to fulfillment centers, manage future order flow plans, and execute chase/cancel strategies to drive optimal sell-through, inventory turnover, and revenue.Consolidate and analyze large volumes of data (shipments, sales, inventory, etc.) to identify opportunities for improved revenue, profitability, and cost-efficiency (e.g., cost per cube).Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding purchase management, supplier performance, and product information—regularly communicating in Mandarin with China-based brands and partners to ensure clarity and accuracy across all transactions.Drive accountability for key KPIs within the pod (OOS rate, Inventory Turn, Obsolete/Slow-Moving Inventory, Sell-Through, etc.) and may lead and develop Associate Planners and Replenishment team members.Requirements3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain operations.Proficient in forecasting, planning, and replenishment systems to support effective inventory strategies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive insights.Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with experience managing domestic and international vendor relationships, including merchandise manufacturers.Salary$65,000 - $80,000 a yearOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000/year to $80,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company.
