Responsibilities

Onsite Schedule: 9a-5p (flexibility in the scheduling for 8a-4p). This role is lab-based with an equal amount of office work (Lab book entries, Group meetings, Group presentations). Requires Cell Culture experience in the lab. The position is collaborative, looking for a candidate with 4+ years of experience developing complex assays. The office culture consists of smaller groups and is more intellectually stimulating than typical industry roles. Scientist (non-PhD) – ADC Biology ROLE SUMMARY As a Scientist (non-PhD) on our ADC Biology team, you will be a key driver in advancing next-generation ADC technologies through collaborative, cross-functional research that spans from early discovery to pre-clinical development. You will develop assays and execute screening and identification of novel chemotypes that function as payloads for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for cancer therapy. You will work collaboratively with chemistry and other cross-functional teams to understand the mechanisms of action of identified payloads. You will analyze, interpret, and communicate the data effectively to key stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Apply cellular, biochemical, immunological, and molecular biology laboratory techniques to preclinical research projects in Cancer signaling and Cancer biology. * Investigate mechanisms of action (MOAs) of therapeutics through the development, optimization, and execution of complex assays. * Interact and collaborate with other functional groups across research. * Provide leadership within technical areas of expertise; may train, direct, or mentor others. * Design and execute key experiments to investigate novel therapeutic targets and MOAs of novel payloads to enable clear go/no-go decisions. * Independently analyze data, document results, and present findings to large and small audiences. * Maintain rigorous records of experimental progress using electronic laboratory notebooks. * Present experimental results and scientific rationale to colleagues. * Execute molecular, biochemical, and cell-based methodologies, including cytotoxicity assays, HiBit, HTRF, ELISA, western blotting, automated liquid handling, multicolor flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and live cell microscopy. * Aid in the execution and analysis of additional experiments as needed within the ADC discovery research team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s degree in Cellular or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, OR * M.S. degree in Cellular or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience. * Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and analytical software programs (e.g., Prism, FlowJo). * Experience designing, performing, and interpreting complex experiments that require significant insight into problems, with some guidance. * Working knowledge in Cancer Biology and Cancer therapeutics, especially small molecule agents, biologics, and ADCs. * Experience working independently and managing multiple projects. * Experience collaborating across teams and a variety of disciplines to provide experimental expertise and support others on joint projects. * Experience leading parts of projects or initiatives within your area of expertise. * Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting work to key stakeholders. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * Experience in experimental cancer biology, biochemical and/or immunological techniques (e.g., cell culture, cytotoxicity assays, HiBit, HTRF, ELISA, western blotting, automated liquid handling, multicolor flow cytometry, immunofluorescent and live cell microscopy). * Background knowledge in cell signaling and biochemistry. * Experience developing complex cell and biochemical assays.
