The role involves driving the development of data and business intelligence platforms for identifying, classifying, remediating, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in all Zscalers products and clouds. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years of experience in IaaS/PaaS development at scale on public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure). Expertise in data engineering, IaaS/PaaS, performant design at scale, engineering excellence, software design, programming, and secure development is required. Desired skills include AWS experience, strong knowledge of DBMS systems, DevOps experience, and experience with building security platforms and/or supporting product security or vulnerability management functions. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the vision for the team’s engineer platforms, including vulnerability scanning platforms, data transport and analytics, and business intelligence. - Lead the design and implementation of innovative distributed software platforms for continuous assessment of threats and vulnerabilities, risk and policy compliance across Zscaler software and hardware assets, in private and public clouds. - Support the team’s engineering excellence efforts to achieve 4-9s availability 24/7 in a full DevOps model, including driving investigations to determine root cause and implement solutions. - Work cross-functionally with product management and distributed systems engineering teams to complete large scale projects with impact across the company - Operate in an Agile development environment - Support the team’s engineering excellence by performing code reviews and mentoring junior team members - Motivate and champion a strong team culture
