Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven Business Development Executive – M&A & Investments to originate and qualify acquisition opportunities with SMBs, engaging directly with business owners, CEOs, and CFOs. This role combines outbound prospecting with high-level relationship building, positioning our investment team for successful transactions. You will be the first point of contact in creating a strong pipeline of potential deals and ensuring no opportunity is missed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and engage SMBs (typically $5M–$50M annual sales) for potential investment or acquisition.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using cold calling, email outreach, networking, and business intelligence tools.
• Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives to understand needs and present our value proposition effectively.
• Track and measure outreach performance metrics (calls, conversations, leads, deals).
• Partner with the investment team to qualify leads for due diligence and transaction execution.
• Develop strategies to navigate gatekeepers and reach decision-makers.
• Maintain organized CRM records and follow-up processes.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience engaging with senior decision-makers.
• Proven success in prospecting and lead generation.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication (C1/C2 level) with clear, professional delivery.
• Skilled in phone, Zoom, and email outreach, with strong virtual presentation skills.
• Comfort with performance metrics and accountability for results.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple prospects.
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience in franchise sales, private equity business development, or other high-ticket B2B environments.
• Familiarity with business acquisition and investment concepts.
