About the Role
As an SEO Content Specialist, you will own the content creation at Mettano writing high-quality service pages, location pages, and blog posts for home service businesses that rank and convert. You'll execute against the strategic direction set by our Senior SEO Specialist and SEO Manager, turning keyword research and content briefs into optimized pages. This is not a generic content writing role. You need to understand how content fits into a Local SEO strategy. Internal linking, URL structure, heading hierarchy, and on-page optimization are part of your daily work. If you can write at an expert level in English and you understand what makes content perform in search, we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write and edit blog posts, service pages, and location pages for home service clients. Every piece of content must be clear, compelling, and optimized for search.
- Content Optimization: Implement on-page SEO best practices, internal linking strategy, URL structure, heading tags, meta descriptions, and keyword placement.
- Content Editing: Review and improve existing content across client sites. Identify gaps, fix inconsistencies, and elevate quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the SEO team on content priorities, timelines, and feedback. Communicate directly with clients on content-related updates when needed.
- Project Management: Run tasks through Monday.com.
- Communication: Daily work summaries. Bi-weekly team meetings. Async updates via Loom. Team communication via Slack.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ Years of SEO Content Experience: You've written optimized content for home service websites not just blog posts, but service pages and location pages that rank.
- Expert-Level English: Writing quality is non-negotiable. You write at a native level, clean grammar, natural tone, clear structure. We will test this.
- On-Page SEO Knowledge: You understand internal linking, heading structure, keyword placement, URL structure, and meta optimization.
- Reliable & Detail-Oriented: Content is the engine behind our client strategies. Typos, broken links, and sloppy formatting are unacceptable.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong async communication is a must for a remote team across time zones.
- Coachable: You execute against strategy, take feedback well and improve quickly.
- Growth-Minded: Motivated to exceed expectations, solve problems, and win as a team in a fast-paced environment.
