Responsibilities

Our team at Backblaze is looking for someone who enjoys working close to production systems, reliability, automation, observability, and database operations.This is an SRE role with a strong DBA/database reliability focus, especially around MySQL, Vitess (distributed MySQL), and Cassandra. The bigger picture is reliability at scale.You’ll be supporting systems that help power cloud storage for customers around the world, working on things like:production reliability and incident responsemonitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and error budgetsautomation to reduce toildatabase performance, replication, backup, and recoveryLinux troubleshooting and operational excellenceDirect Vitess experience is a huge plus, but it is not the only path in.
