Patient Care Communications Specialist | Mac OS Required
Remote Healthcare VA
This is a remote, patient-facing role focused on phone calls, texts, voicemails, emails, scheduling, follow-up, and patient retention. You will be the first person many patients speak with, so we are looking for someone warm, calm, professional, reliable, and easy to understand. The role requires high-volume communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle patient concerns with empathy and good judgment.
Responsibilities:
Answer inbound patient calls professionally
Schedule new and existing patient appointments
Respond to texts, voicemails, emails, and patient messages
Follow up with missed calls, inactive patients, and rescheduling needs
Help convert new patient inquiries into booked appointments
De-escalate patient concerns related to scheduling, billing confusion, or insurance questions
Maintain accurate notes and protect patient privacy
Requirements:
Excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral accent
Prior healthcare VA, medical receptionist, front desk, or patient communication experience
Comfortable with high call volume
Strong written communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and proactive
Must have a Mac OS device
Must have wired internet / LAN
Flexible with assigned schedule
Willing to work Saturdays if needed
Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week
Rate: $6/hour with performance-based increase review after 6 months
Preferred: MacPractice, Weave, Solutionreach, Podium, chiropractic, or U.S. healthcare clinic experience
