You’ll develop production-grade AI agents, backend services, and data pipelines, transforming unstructured financial data into actionable insights. ## Key Responsibilities - Build and deploy production-ready **agentic AI systems**, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and AI-powered product features. - Develop scalable Python backend services and data pipelines for complex financial and document-based data. - Own features end-to-end, from problem definition and experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization. - Design rigorous AI evaluations, benchmark alternative approaches, and measure real-world product impact. - Automate manual accounting processes through intelligent, reliable backend systems. ## Required Qualifications - 4–15 years of backend software engineering experience, with strong **production Python** skills. - Proven experience shipping **AI/ML systems and agentic workflows into production**—beyond basic LLM API integrations or prompt wrappers. - Deep backend engineering expertise and experience with data-intensive applications, document parsing, or financial data. - Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of products or features delivering measurable customer value. - Early-stage startup experience, ideally in a high-growth environment. - Scientific, experimental approach to engineering, with strong AI evaluation, benchmarking, and stakeholder communication skills. - Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without visa sponsorship. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with **Elixir**, AI evaluation frameworks, or multi-agent orchestration. - Background in machine learning, data science, or applied AI research. - Experience building fintech, accounting automation, financial intelligence, or AI-native SaaS products. **Ideal Candidate:** A hands-on engineer who combines strong backend fundamentals with proven production AI experience, rigorous experimentation, and a track record of turning complex problems into customer-facing products. **Apply if you’ve built and shipped real AI systems—not just prototypes.**
