Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging for outpatients (OP) and Express Care patients as ordered by physicians. Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Explain procedures to patients and address basic questions to ensure comfort and cooperation. Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self (use of shielding, ALARA principles). Verify patient identity and imaging orders before performing examinations. Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality. Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them to the radiologist. Upload and document images in PACS/RIS systems and maintain accurate patient records. Assist physicians and healthcare staff during imaging procedures when needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the imaging room and equipment. Monitor patient condition during imaging, especially in urgent care situations. Adhere to infection control protocols when handling patients and equipment. Ensure timely imaging services to support efficient patient flow in OP and Express Care settings.
