Requirements and responsibilities

Nfinite is looking for a Lead Technical Specialist to design and implement a pipeline that converts production-ready 3D environments into simulation-ready environments for robotics simulation platforms. The role focuses on transforming PBR production assets and scenes into physically accurate simulation assets, ensuring compatibility with robotics simulators such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim. This position combines 3D pipeline creation, simulation physics integration, and technical leadership. 📋 What You’ll Do - Design and develop a simulation pipeline that converts production assets into simulation-ready environments (3ds Max → Blender → USD / GLB → Robotics Simulator), ensuring the workflow is scalable, reliable, and suitable for repeated production use. - Prepare the workflow for asset simulation by implementing collision meshes, rigid bodies, mass properties, articulations, and constraints to ensure correct physics-based behavior. - Convert production scenes into simulation-ready environments, including replacing incompatible assets, restructuring scene hierarchies, integrating physical properties, and preparing scenes for robotics simulation. - Define and maintain technical pipeline standards, including scene hierarchy, naming conventions, scale consistency, physics parameters, and metadata structures to ensure consistency across environments. - Ensure compatibility with simulation platforms, including NVIDIA Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, and other robotics simulation platforms if required. - Develop validation processes to verify simulation readiness, ensure asset consistency, and support QA and testing workflows. ✅ Role Requirements: Technical expertise - Experience with 3D pipeline development, asset conversion workflows, scene assembly and optimization - Experience preparing simulation-ready assets for physics-based environments - Understanding of simulation physics, including collision meshes, rigid body physics, articulations, constraints, and physical simulation parameters Tools & Technologies - Strong working experience with Blender + 3ds Max - Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse and/or NVIDIA Isaac Sim - Knowledge of USD workflows, robotics simulation frameworks, and scene graph systems is a strong plus Soft skills - Technical leadership and ownership mindset - Problem-solving ability - System architecture thinking - Ability to design scalable pipelines Languages - Languages: English proficiency is required 💼 Work Arrangement & Compensation: - Freelance / Contract; full-time - Fully remote - From €2,500/month (depending on experience and availability)
