TigerConnect is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This person is responsible for maintaining timely, accurate financial records, with an emphasis on Accounts Payable, and performing other day-to-day activities and ad hoc projects on the accounting team. He or she will assume ownership of all Payables activities, a range of account reconciliations, financial closing activities, and other projects to support our financial close process. The candidate shall have an in-depth understanding of the financial statements and working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls. This is a hybrid position based out of our Mexico City office.
🔵 What you bring:
â—˝ 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, emphasizing Accounts Payables, Banking, and Purchasing.
◽ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business or economics significant.
â—˝ Prior SaaS, construction, or tech industry a plus.
â—˝ Solid understanding of the entire Accounting cycle.
â—˝ Proficiency in Excel.
â—˝ Proficiency in NetSuite is highly preferred.
â—˝ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
â—˝ Self-starter, detail-oriented, critical thinker who can work with minimal supervision.
â—˝ Ability to work on tight deadlines and effectively manage projects to finish by established project plans and timelines.
â—˝ Curiosity and thirst for knowledge and understanding of the business.
â—˝ Collaborative mindset and strong ability to work within a team environment.
🔵 What you’ll be doing:
â—˝ Process daily Accounts Payables transactions, including vendor payments, credit card reconciliations, PO/three-way match, and weekly ACH and Bill Pay processing.
â—˝ Broad general ledger and general accounting experience including order to cash cycle (AR billing and collections cycle), bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, credit card payables and accrued expenses.
â—˝ Prepare account reconciliations and related journal entries.
â—˝ Assist in month-end close processes.
â—˝ Assist with internal financial reporting for senior management and in developing business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
â—˝ Participate in the preparation and process of the annual audit.
â—˝ Take on ad-hoc projects across all accounting and finance teams/departments.
