Our next Senior and/or Mid-Level Software Engineer will play a key role in building and maintaining robust backend systems that power essential operations. You’ll work closely with product managers, the QA team, and fellow engineers to deliver elegant and scalable solutions.
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home, located in San José, Costa Rica.
Responsibilities:
● Develop backend features using Node.js, JavaScript, and MSSQL.
● Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using SOA principles.
● Participate in peer code reviews to maintain quality, security, and performance.
● Collaborate with product leadership, QA, and engineering teams to clarify and implement requirements.
● Deploy and manage services using Docker and AWS.
● Optimize system performance and resolve technical bottlenecks.
● Write secure, maintainable, and well-documented code.
● Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
● 3–7 years of software development experience.
● Proficient with Node.js, JavaScript frameworks (Express, React, or Vue), and MSSQL.
● Experience with Docker and AWS cloud services.
● Strong understanding of REST APIs, SOA, and microservices architecture.
● Proficient in GitHub workflows (branches, pull requests, code reviews).
● Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2).
