Palo Alto Therapy is a growing 30+ person, high-end counseling center that is dedicated to providing quality mental & behavioral health counseling to those who are struggling with anxiety and depression problems. We specialize in helping our clients (children through adults) overcome panic, social anxiety, worry, OCD, depression, among many other emotional difficulties, using evidence based therapy, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Palo Alto Therapy is searching for a skilled Clinical Director to join our team who will serve as an integral part of the leadership team and ensure the quality of services provided to clients, as well as lead the development of our clinical team. The Clinical Director will coordinate day-to-day clinical operations of our practice locations, supervise clinical team members, and take responsibility to lead time sensitive cases and legal issues related to clinical work. Responsibilities: - Supervise the clinical team, provide coaching, assess, and evaluate employee performance, and make recommendations for employment actions. - Monitor clinician caseloads and productivity, and address any issues including low client retention, frequent cancellations/no-shows. - Responsible for quality assurance in the delivery of services and adherence to HIPAA standards, including clinical care and documentation. - Review clinician documentation and audit files. - Ensure that cases involving legal issues or that are time sensitive are managed appropriately. - Assess training needs and coordinate or provide training and professional development opportunities for all clinical team members. - Review resumes, interview potential candidates, and make recommendations for hire of new clinicians. - In collaboration with the team’s professional development coordinator, responsible for on-boarding, orienting, and training all new clinicians. - Implements changes and new programming. - Direct the daily operations of office locations and schedule clinical meetings, services, monitor clinical employee time worked, and review/approve time sheets in accordance with set schedules/expectations. - Meet with clinicians regularly and provide clinical supervisory support. - In coordination with other members of the leadership team, lead practice culture initiatives. - Facilitate team and individual activities that promote a healthy workplace culture. - Provide direct clinical services in alignment with Therapist job responsibilities and duties, including counseling clients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life changes and challenges, and making changes to improve mental and emotional health; prepare and maintain thorough and accurate treatment records and documentation. - Review and analyze reports based on identified metrics such as but not limited to client retention rate, referral sources, length of time in therapy. - Use data to make recommendations for improvement of client services, internal processes, therapist support, and outreach/new client attraction efforts. - Develop and maintain company clinical policies and procedures, and code of ethics in compliance with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and other related regulations.
