Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Cloud Developer with 12+ years of strong software development experience, including deep hands-on Python coding/development experience, to join our engineering team.This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who has evolved from a strong software engineering background into cloud-native development and enjoys designing, coding, and delivering scalable cloud applications.What You’ll Bring10+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding expertiseStrong Python development experience — production-grade, clean, testable, maintainable codeFull-stack development experience across frontend and backendRecent hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS and/or AzureExperience with serverless, event-driven architectures, containers and/or KubernetesStrong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID, DRY, KISS and DDDExperience designing REST/GraphQL APIs, distributed systems and scalable applicationsStrong knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps and modern software delivery practicesExperience with databases such as DynamoDB, Cosmos DB or other NoSQL technologiesUnderstanding of cloud security, authentication/authorization, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and RBAC/ABACExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsWhat You’ll DoLead the technical design and development of modern cloud-native applicationsWrite and review high-quality Python and cloud application codeDrive architecture, API design, data modelling and integration decisionsBuild scalable solutions using serverless, event-driven and container-based patternsEstablish strong engineering practices around testing, code reviews and quality gatesDesign and maintain CI/CD and automated deployment pipelinesMentor engineers and lead technical discussions while remaining hands-on with developmentMake pragmatic technical decisions around scalability, reliability, security and performanceInterested candidates can share share their resumes via DM or sneha.j@vhiresolutions.com.
