Hiring: Security SpecialistOur Client is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to lead security activities for large-scale State Government modernization programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting secure system development, security assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security governance throughout the SDLC.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project security activities across the software development lifecycle.Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments.Audit security-related deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Define and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks.Partner with business analysts, architects, and development teams to establish security requirements.Provide security guidance, mentoring, and best practices to development teams.Support secure software development and infrastructure implementation.Drive adoption of standardized security requirements and governance processes.✅ Required QualificationsExperience supporting security for large, complex system development projectsHands-on experience with threat modeling and vulnerability assessmentsStrong understanding of application, infrastructure, and cloud security principlesExperience identifying security requirements and risk mitigation strategiesAbility to collaborate with technical and business stakeholdersStrong documentation, auditing, and communication skills⭐ Preferred QualificationsExperience on State Government / SLED projectsExperience with Workforce Development programsIT Project Management experienceSecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or equivalent)🌟 Why Join?Work on mission-critical government modernization initiatives that improve services for citizens while ensuring the highest levels of security, compliance, and risk management.
