Requirements and responsibilities


Responsibilities Database Strategy & Oversight ● Lead end-to-end database architecture, configuration, and quality control ● Oversee builds for new implementations, renewals, and ongoing client ● maintenance ● Ensure alignment between platform configuration and employer plan design ● Maintain data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness Platform Builds & Configuration ● Build and configure benefit plans (Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary, Ancillary) ● Set up: ○ Eligibility rules, class structures, waiting periods ○ Employer/employee contributions ○ Rate structures and validations• Upload and manage: ○ SBCs, benefit summaries, enrollment forms, payroll authorizations ● Conduct full system testing prior to enrollment launch (Aligned with Database Implementation Manager functions) EDI & API Integrations ● Manage and support EDI feeds and API integrations with carriers and payroll vendors ● Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and internal teams to: ○ Establish file feeds ○ Validate data mapping and transmission accuracy ○ Troubleshoot eligibility, deduction, and enrollment discrepancies ● Monitor ongoing integrations and resolve errors proactively Data Management & Reporting ● Audit census data for completeness and accuracy ● Ensure proper handling of: ○ Demographics, salaries, eligibility, dependent data ● Support payroll deduction reporting and carrier file outputs ● Partner with Support Analyst team on reporting workflows (aligned with reporting & deduction responsibilities) Open Enrollment & Implementation Leadership ● Lead database readiness for Open Enrollment: ○ Plan rollovers and renewals ○ Rate updates and eligibility changes ● Collaborate on OE timelines and execution• Ensure real-time support for enrollment teams during active enrollments Troubleshooting & Optimization ● Identify and resolve: ○ Configuration errors ○ Eligibility discrepancies ○ Enrollment issues impacting employees or payroll ● Escalate platform issues and manage resolution timelines ● Recommend automation and process improvements Team Support & Training ● Serve as escalation point for: ○ Benefit Counselors ○ Scheduling & coordination teams ● Train internal team members on: ○ Platform navigation ○ Data accuracy standards ○ Enrollment workflows ● Contribute to SOP development and process documentation Requirements Experience ● Minimum 2+ years experience building databases in: ○ Employee Navigator (preferred) ○ Ease, Selerix, Bswift, or similar platforms ● Proven experience with: ○ EDI file feeds and API integrations ○ Benefits administration systems and workflows ● Experience supporting: ○ Open Enrollment at scale ○ Multi-state or multi-client environments Qualifications ● Strong understanding of: ○ Employee benefits (medical + voluntary) ○ Eligibility rules and plan design structures ● Advanced data management and troubleshooting skills ● Familiarity with: ○ Payroll systems and deduction reporting ○ Section 125 / pre-tax configurations ● High attention to detail and process discipline ● Detail-obsessed and systems-driven ● A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments ● Comfortable owning both strategy and execution ● Passionate about improving the employee benefits experience through technology
