Requirements and responsibilities


The Sales Engineer develops and implements access control and IP camera integrated security designs, while also integrating deliverables from network engineering and audiovisual resources designs. The sales engineer evaluates the existing components of client systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. ✅ Responsibilities: • Pre-Sales design and engineering of integration security systems. • Pre-Sales management of audiovisual and network components to provide complete proposals. • Prepare takeoffs from drawings and design specifications to prepare functional, detailed engineered solutions and cost estimates. • Work with head of engineering, project management and the service department to create a database and standards for field technicians to resolve issues in security systems. • Identify risk and make recommendations to customers and provide effective solutions. • Be the main POC for the pre-sales process with the sales and operations department. • Communicate both pre- and post-sales with client stakeholders to ensure accurate designs. • Work with and support the Sales and Marketing teams by participating in technical discussions and meetings with customers and product partners. • Maintain Daily written and verbal communication with sales, project management and service teams. • Host new product reviews and internal technical meetings. • Maintain Quality Assurance by following organizational standards. • Work with multiple subcontractors to get multiple quotes for competitive presales pricing. • Perform site surveys to build complete proposals. • Communicate with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure designs are followed and systems are meeting our company standards. • Create Initial markups and takeoffs. • Communicate designs to CAD engineer. • Delivers comprehensive designs and proposals to Sales. • Performs all other duties as assigned. • Creates complete proposals. • Manage D-Tools proposal database. ✅ Requirements: • Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields. • Strong project management capabilities. • Ability to work with a small team. • Ability to multi-task. • Ability to handle physical workload. • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. • Strong attention to detail. • Above average proactive communication skills. • Experience with Brivo and Salto access control platforms. • Experience with IP camera Systems. ● Ability and willingness to make key contributions to the growth of the business. ● Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. ● Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. ● Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams. ● Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. ● Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ● Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. ● Must be able to apply tact, diplomacy, reason, and logic, process data in an organized, timely, and accurate manner, visualize, respond quickly, and recognize consequences of erroneous actions, concentrate on tasks, and other required functions. ● Self-motivated and a professional attitude. ● Excellent communication and listening skills. ● Excellent teambuilding, customer service, and interpersonal skills. ● Must possess good decision-making skills, be very organized and detail oriented. ● Requires good interpersonal skills and attention to detail. ● Skills in computer maintenance and installation are required. • Network experience is a plus.
