As a UI/UX Design Intern, you’ll help shape the visual and experiential foundation of Tritone’s platform, transforming complex financial data and music industry workflows into intuitive, user-friendly tools.
This role, although an internship for now, does have the potential to move into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
User Research & Journey Mapping
1. Support the creation of Use Case diagrams and user journey maps for artists, business managers, and labels.
2. Participate in feedback sessions to refine user personas and user experience priorities.
Wireframing & Prototyping
1. Design low- and mid-fidelity wireframes that translate functional requirements into clear layouts.
2. Build interactive Figma prototypes for early user testing and investor demos.
Information Architecture & Data Visualization
1. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design dashboard layouts, analytics visualizations, and reporting interfaces that simplify complex royalty data.
Design System & Branding Consistency
1. Help establish and maintain the design system, including typography, color palette, component styles, and iconography.
2. Ensure visual consistency across mobile and web experiences.
Collaboration & Handoff
* Work closely with backend engineers to align UI design with functional API outputs.
* Prepare design specs and assist with front-end implementation reviews.

Requirements
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, or a related field.
2. Strong proficiency with Figma (or Adobe XD, Sketch) and FigJam/Miro for mapping and collaboration.
3. Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and responsive design.
4. Portfolio or examples showing clean, structured design and UX thinking (student work acceptable).
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
6. Interest in music, data visualization, or creative technology is a strong plus.
7. Comfortable working remotely, asynchronously, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in multiple time zones.

Nice to Have (Optional Skills)
1. Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Tailwind, or Next.js) to understand design feasibility.
2. Experience with data dashboard design or SaaS product interfaces.
3. Knowledge of music industry workflows (royalties, publishing, PROs) is a bonus.
