Requirements and responsibilities

Key responsibilities include validating source-to-target data mappings for accuracy and business correctness; performing data reconciliation between source systems and target databases; validating ETL transformations, aggregations, calculations, and derivations; end-to-end data flow validation (Source → Staging → Target); validating business transformation rules; ensuring domain-specific rule compliance; collaborating with Business SMEs to preserve data meaning after transformation; creating and maintaining ETL test strategy, scenarios, and data validation checklists; designing test cases for full loads, Incremental loads, Delta and historical data loads; executing testing for Smoke testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT support, Reconciliation and regression testing; identifying, logging, and tracking ETL defects with root cause analysis; working closely with ETL developers and data engineers to resolve issues; validating defect fixes through re testing and impact analysis; producing data quality and test execution reports.
