Requirements and responsibilities
We are looking for an Operations and Risk Coordinator to join our team. This professional will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and risk mitigation on our payments platform.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Work on operational management, monitoring and analyzing processes to ensure the efficiency and compliance of all transactions.
- Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks, proposing improvements and mitigation solutions.
- Provide support to clients and merchants, resolving questions and issues related to payment operations.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in spreadsheets, presenting data and key metrics for decision-making.
- Take part in developing risk management policies and procedures in compliance with payment arrangement regulations.
- Manage chargebacks and MEDs, analyzing dispute cases, preparing defense information, and following each case through to resolution.
- Collaborate with other teams to implement improvements to processes and the merchant experience.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Prior experience in operations, risk management, and/or customer support, preferably at payment companies or fintechs.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and Spanish.
- Fluent English is mandatory for communicating with merchants and international partners.
- Knowledge of the various online payment methods and their providers, including cards, instant payments, and e-wallets.
- Experience managing chargebacks and MEDs.
- Proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
