Together, we’re building healthier, more resilient organizations—one person at a time.PositionThe Human Resources Generalist provides support to the Human Resources team, specifically for our Military OneSource contract, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee support, and HR operations. This role requires a high level of discretion, strong initiative, and supports both day-to-day HR needs and ongoing projects.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate resolution and follow-upManage full-cycle recruitment including sourcing strategy development, candidate sourcing, resume review, and selection aligned to role requirementsSource candidates using job boards, networking, and social media to build and maintain a qualified talent pipelineConduct phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fitCreate, format, and post job requisitions across multiple job boards and platformsMaintain regular communication and intake updates for active and upcoming requisitionsEnsure a positive candidate experience through consistent and professional communication throughout the hiring processSupport onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experienceFacilitate new hire onboarding and ensure completion of required documentation and processesSupport payroll activities by reviewing and validating employee data, including time off, holidays, and employment changesPartner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of payrollAdminister and track employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, parental leave, and other applicable programsManage HR ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), ensuring accurate documentation, tracking, and resolutionProvide guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and employee relations mattersAssist with employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and follow-up actions as neededMaintain accurate and confidential employee records across HR systems (e.g., Paylocity, Zoho)Partner with HR leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policiesAssist with audits, reporting, and HR projects as assignedSupport benefits administration projects in partnership with the Benefits ManagerContribute as a member of the HR team to support departmental goals and initiativesServe as a member of the HR team; perform duties necessary to ensure the team's projects/goals are completedQualificationsBachelor’s degree requiredMust be a U.S. citizen5+ years of experience in HR Generalist and/or full-cycle recruiting rolesExperience supporting HR operations in a government contract strongly preferredExperience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paylocity, Zoho)Experience using ATS and/or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, JazzHR)Experience supporting compliance with the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA), including understanding prevailing wage and fringe benefit requirementsStrong understanding of HR best practices and employment law fundamentalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage competing prioritiesProven ability to handle confidential and sensitive informationStrong collaboration skills in a fast-paced environmentThis role is structured as a six (6) month temporary assignment, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position depending on performance and business needWPO Workplace CommitmentAt Workplace Options, we are committed to and are accountable for building a workplace where individuals feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work, free from judgment or fear of discrimination.
